Call for Proposals: $8,000 Barlow Grant

$8,000 Scholarship Opportunity

The American Psychological Foundation (APF) supports a broad range of grant funding for students and early career psychologists that conduct research and use psychology to improve lives.

APF is offering The David H. and Beverly A. Barlow Grant of up to $8,000 to support innovative basic and clinical research on anxiety and anxiety related disorders, conducted by graduate students and early career researchers. Individuals who represent diversity are encouraged to apply, and applicants must be affiliated with nonprofit charitable, educational, and scientific institutions, or governmental entities operating exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

Applicants must submit a proposal outlining their proposed project and plans by September 15, 2017. Please contact Erin Carney, Program Officer, at ecarney@apa.org with any questions.

Don’t miss out on Coffee and Conversation

The South Dakota Psychological Association (SDPA) invites you to attend our second informal gathering of the year for both existing members as well as potential new members.  Please join us for Coffee and Conversation on Saturday, April 29 from 11-1 at Red Steakhouse, One East Main Street in Vermillion, SD.

This gathering is a time to discuss current professional issues as well as offering a chance to network with existing members. We especially extend an invite to potential new members to come and see what SDPA has to offer, as well as network with local colleagues. A light lunch will be provided.
