Dr. Jay Lombard: Dr. Lombard is Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer and Medical Director at Genomind. He is responsible for Genomind’s scientific research and development, as well as medical leadership and clinical oversight. Dr. Lombard is a board certified neurologist. Dr. Lombard has published several books on the role of nutrition and the brain and has lectured extensively on this topic. He has had numerous television and radio appearances including appearances on Larry King, Dr. Oz, CBS News, Fox News, The Early Morning Show and others. He was also invited to present at TEDMED 2012.

Jeffrey D. Lewine, Ph.D.: Dr. Lewine is Professor of Translational Neuroscience and Director of Business Development. His research uses behavioral and brain imaging methods including magnetoencephalography [MEG], electroencephalography [EEG], magnetic resonance imaging [MRI], and single photon emission computed tomography [SPECT]) to study brain structure and function. He has performed research on a wide range of clinical conditions including autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, dyslexia, epilepsy, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Lewine has previously directed functional brain imaging programs in New Mexico, Utah, Kansas and Illinois. He is a member of the College of Scientific Reviewers for the National Institutes of Health and a member of the executive boards for the American Clinical Magnetoencephalography Society and the International Society for the Advancement of Clinical MEG. Dr. Lewine is the co-author of a textbook on functional brain imaging and he has co-authored more than 100 articles and book chapters.

Thomas F. Bergquist, Ph.D., ABPP: Dr. Bergquist is training coordinator for the fellowship Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology. He is Assistant Professor in Psychology in the Mayo Medical School. He is a consultant in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Bergquist received his doctoral degree in Clinical and Medical Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed a fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Mayo Clinic. He is co-investigator of a NIDDR funded study on use of the Internet to deliver cognitive rehabilitation services to rural populations. His principal research interests include outcome following brain injury rehabilitation and coping with disability.

Join Us For Coffee and Conversation February 4

Conversation and Coffee

The South Dakota Psychological Association (SDPA) invites you to attend our first informal gathering of the year for both existing members as well as potential new members. Please join us for Coffee and Conversation on Saturday, February 4 from 10:00 AM until noon at The Green Bean Coffeehouse, 304 Main Street in Spearfish, SD.

This gathering is a time to discuss current professional issues as well as offering a chance to network with existing members. We especially extend an invite to potential new members to come and see what SDPA has to offer, as well as network with local colleagues. Refreshments will be provided.
